Im a beginner, so I like it. But, as a beginner, Id like it more if this app contained rules, and strategies. It is a beautiful board, nevertheless.
I purchased the Upgrade. No doubling cube, no resign and only 3 levels of difficulty. Not impressed or pleased. Took me only 15 minutes to get bored.
After buying the full version the app wont work
Same as all the backgammon games. Computer dozens of doubles, player one if hes lucky. What is unique is how openly the computer leaves blots, sometimes three at a time all over the board. The player wont be able to hit but one in a thousand of these. LOL stupid!
You have to pay for expert playing mode..boo!
Just as others have written computer get repeated doubles; player doubles rarely, etc. And, as if that were not frustrating enough, you have to pay $1.99 for anything other than easy mode. But when you do that, as my husband did, the app crashes repeatedly and you are still set up not to win except on rare occasions. I am fairly good at backgammon in reality; but, you could not tell it from this game. Not worth the money even though it is only right at two dollars. Disappointed in Texas.
Love it, Thanks
Computer uses not even the most basic strategy. Gammon or backgammon too easy. Graphics nice.
Its cool. Very basic. Just like the original I played with my sister years ago.
Is that very good. i like this game!
Thought Id get a cube when I paid upgrade to get hard option. Still no cube. Total waste.
Tawla is very well conceived and executed. The art work is beautifully authentic. The lite version is all the beginner needs to play for as long as one wishes...or until one gets tired of the AI making really dumb moves. At that point the full version is well worth the upgrade.
Too primitive for todays electronic world. Needs updating with some speed. Otherwise realistic.
Your loss
Seriously stacked against the player. iPad just got 4:4, 6:6, 1:1 and 2:2 right off the bat and then another series of 4:4, 1:1 etc. No doubles for me and really poor hands all the time. I still won...
hands down. i still play black to see who wins. we play the no more than 5 pieces per column rule, and only take off the number you throw. sometimes the app. forces you to move.
i purchase this game in ipad but in iphone cannot restore ... any help please
Im from Iran and Backgammon is big here. Everybody plays this game ever since they come out of their mothers Uterus
Love the game. I purchased the full version. I gave it three stars because of the logic the computer uses to try to defeat you. Level of hardness settings can use some improvements. Its too simple on "easy". "Hard" on the other hand means essentially the computer gets what it needs to capture your pieces. The luck of the dice is on the computer side until you get to the very end of the game and all of the sudden it seems to be more random and in your favor. You can see the same pattern in the dice from game to game especially at the beginning of the game. The manufacture needs to work on improving the randomness of the dice since the probability of getting the same numbers should be very low. Otherwise, its a fun game and is worth the price. Be aware that if you buy it for your iPhone you have to buy it again for your iPad. So choose carefully which device you will be using.
